project brief

This project involved the delivery of a comprehensive electrical infrastructure upgrade for a market-leading hydraulic and pneumatic valve manufacturer. The works supported the ongoing operation and future growth of the facility, covering office spaces, welfare areas, specialist production zones, and supporting technical areas. In addition, resilience and security were key considerations, requiring the installation of a high-capacity back-up power system and robust data and surveillance infrastructure across the site.

The challenge

Operating within a live manufacturing environment presented a number of technical and logistical challenges. Electrical works needed to be carefully planned and phased to avoid disruption to production processes, critical equipment, and day-to-day business operations. The facility comprised multiple functional areas — including offices, welfare facilities, tool rooms, and the production Ensuring continuity of supply was also a critical factor for the client. Any unplanned power outage had the potential to impact production, safety systems, and business-critical operations. The challenge was to design and install a back-up generation solution capable of supporting essential loads, while seamlessly integrating with the existing electrical infrastructure. Alongside this, secure and reliable network connectivity and CCTV coverage were required to support operations, safety, and site security.

project goals

The overall goal of the project was to deliver a reliable, resilient, and future-proof electrical infrastructure that supported both manufacturing operations and office-based functions. This included improving power distribution across the site, enhancing business continuity through back-up generation, and strengthening data connectivity and security systems.

  • Installation of electrical infrastructure to office areas, welfare areas, tool room, and production floor

  • Installation of a 500kVA back-up generator to maintain critical supplies during power outages

  • Installation of network points and CCTV systems across the site

the result

The project was delivered successfully, providing the client with a robust and resilient electrical installation tailored to the needs of a modern manufacturing environment. The new infrastructure supports safe, efficient operation across all areas of the facility, while the 500kVA back-up generator ensures continuity of critical systems during any loss of mains power. The installation of network points and CCTV has improved connectivity, security, and operational oversight throughout the site. The client now benefits from a dependable, future-ready electrical setup that supports productivity, safety, and long-term growth.
